Dr Dawood Terblanche
CEO
Dr Dawood Terblanche holds a Ph.D in Philosophy with a specialization in Religion from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in Durban, South Africa and an MA in Ancient Languages and Cultures. His research areas include Islamic education, Islamic Law, Philosophy, Religion, Anthropology, History and Halal Studies.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Peace College South Africa (IPSA)

Professor Belqes Al-Sowaidi

Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies
Belqes Al-Sowaidi is an associate professor of Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies with 19 years of extensive experience across various domains, including Ou’ranic Linguistics, Pedagogy, Translation Studies, and Interpreting Studies, Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) and Curriculum Design. Prof Belqes is dedicated to adopting new trends in Education Technology (EdTech) and exploring diverse modes of teaching and learning, including e-learning, blended and distance learning across the humanities.

Sheikh Fakhruddin Owaisi

Sheikh Fakhruddin Owaisi grew up and studied in the blessed city of Madinah al-Munawwarah under many ‘Ulama, including the renowned Shaykh al-Sayyid Muhammad ‘Alawi al-Maliki. After completing his High School in Madinah in Madrasat al-Ulum al-Shar'iyyah, he travelled to Cape Town South Africa where he studied for a Bachelors in Islamic Theology at the Islamic College of Southern Africa (recognized by Al-Azhar University), where he graduated as Best Student of the Year. He then obtained a bachelor’s with Honours in Religious Studies, and a master’s degree in Islamic Studies, from the University of Cape Town, with Distinction.

Sheikh Nurghaan Singh
Senior Lecturer
Sh Nurghaan Singh completed a Diploma in Arabic from the Arabic Language Institute at the Islamic University of Medina, Saudi Arabia, in 1996. In the year 2000 he completed his BA (Hons) in Islamic Law with the Islamic University of Medina, and he completed his TEFL training at One World Language School in Cape Town, South Africa.
He is currently lecturing at the International Peace College South Africa (IPSA).

Sheikh Muhammad Wahīb Abdul-Jabbar
Senior Lecturer
Sheikh Muhammad Wahīb Abdul-Jabbar is a senior lecturer at the International Peace College in South Africa. Sh. Muhammad began his studies at a young age at Darul Uloom Zakaria. Upon his return to Cape Town, he continued his studies and completed his pre-engineering program. He later traveled to Damascus, Syria, to complete an intensive Arabic language program at Ma'had al-Fath al-Islāmi, as well as Imāmah and Da’wah courses at Ma'had & Kulliyyah Ahmad Kuftāru. Thereafter, he went to Hadhramaut, Yemen, to study the Shāfi’ī madhhab and other sciences at the Ribāt Tarim and Dārul Mustafā. After receiving ijāzāt (certificates) in many different sciences, he returned to Cape Town in 2016, where he was immediately appointed as a senior lecturer at the International Peace College South Africa (IPSA)

Sheikh Imraan Achmat

Sheikh Imraan Achmat is a graduate of the University of Mansoorah Egypt. Sheikh study at the Ma-assarawi Institute as well as the Alazhar Ashrif. He completed he’s Honors in Islamic Thought from the International Peace college Of South Africa where he is currently holding the position of full time Lecturer, Librarian and Network Administrator. Sheikh is currently completing his Masters in Arabic from the University of the Western Cape and serves as the assistant Imam at Masjidun Ansar in Belgravia.
